If you're furnishing a longtime or newly purchased home, it's entirely up to you when to contact a designer. However, keep in mind that speaking with a designer early (even if we don't start working together right away) may prevent you from accidentally buying furnishings that aren't going to achieve the look, feel, and functionality you have in mind. Yes, and there are many reasons you will want to! First, our vendors and suppliers are some of the best in the business. When we order from them, we can be confident in the quality of the product and their first-class customer service - which matters when it comes to shipping, installation, customization, etc.

The other reason we handle all ordering is that it keeps us in control of the efficiency of your project. By contrast, if you were to place orders through mass retail outlets, you have far less control over shipping times, item protection in transit, getting replacements quickly, etc. If you look at the numbers, it often costs more to order from retail because there is so much time and effort wasted - and it can hold back the whole project.
